The Game

PixelZen is a charming 2D pixel art game designed to provide a relaxing experience and promote players' mental well-being. In a vibrant pixel world full of soothing colors, players will explore peaceful environments and interact with captivating characters. The serene soundtrack and soothing sound effects help to create a calm and inviting atmosphere.

Players can roam beautiful settings such as serene forests, Zen gardens, and tranquil beaches. Each location offers relaxing views and enchanting surprises. Friendly, lovable characters inhabit the game world, offering side quests, sage advice, and emotional support. Interaction with them is essential to receive beautiful messages.

• To walk, use the 'A', 'W', 'S' and 'D' keys on your keyboard.
• To enter the houses, simply approach the doors.
• To save the game, simply enter a brown hut and stand in the purple portal.
• To pause the game, use the 'ESC' key.
• To return to the Menu, use the 'M' key

Detailed Tutorial

Hello! Welcome to PixelZen. A game where you explore wonderful worlds, live incredible adventures and always remain zen.

In this wonderful world, you can explore four lands. The Forest, the Woods, the Desert and the Arctic. Each of these kingdoms has its characteristics, its animals and its people.

To walk, use the ‘A’, ‘w’, ‘s’ and ‘d’ keys on your keyboard. As you walk, you can explore the houses you walk around. Just pull up to their doors. To return, just enter the blue magic field.

To walk and explore, you'll need your ZenEnergy. You will notice that the more you walk, the more ZenEnergy you will consume. If your ZenEnergy runs out, you will lose a heart. Lose everyone and it's game over.

But don't worry, in each world, you will have a ZenEnergy recoverer, just enter the field and wait for your energy to recharge.

Careful! In each world, ZenEnergy is consumed in a different way. In the forest and the woods, consumption is linear. In the Fire Realm, the scorching heat will cause ZenEnergy to be consumed twice as fast, and in the Arctic, twice as slow.

When exploring, you may want to collect coins. There are exactly 100 currencies across the world, many of them well hidden.

There will be several animals on your way, you can interact with them, but I don't think they will say anything.

The fairies, on the other hand, will always say messages of motivation, and the wise men in the squares will tell you messages of wisdom.

Don't forget to stop by the meditation temples. There you will be able to meditate listening to incredible music and of course, your ZenEnergy will be restored too.

To save your progress, simply enter one of the brown huts and enter the purple area! When you restart your game, you will be there again.

To see explored areas, use the B key to open your inventory and to return to the Main Menu, just press M.
